Punta Cana Beaches

Punta Cana Beaches

The Dominican Republic is many people’s idea of a tropical paradise due heavily in part to the multiple and diverse beaches found along the 1,633 kilometers of coastline. That’s over a thousand miles of coastline where the vast majority is beach! Punta Cana and Bavaro are well-known for their white-sand beaches and turquoise waters – a favorite hot spot amongst both tourists and locals alike. Heading up to the Northern Dominican Coast, the lack of a coral reef like in Punta Cana allows for higher waves (this is a world-renowned destination for kite surfers). On the southwestern coastline of the Dominican one will find more “rocky” outcroppings and even “caves” protruding into the crystal clear waters.
