Corte Sea, built by The Montas Family. They are one of the most reputable, reliable builders in Bavaro-Punta Cana and the Dominican Republic. The Montas Family are the ones responsible for me being in Punta Cana. They knocked on my door in my Miami in 2006 and provided me the opportunity to sell Arenas de Bavaro and Corte Sea. They even turned me into property owner of one of the condos in Arenas de Bavaro. I believed in them, in the quality of their construction and how responsible they are with their products. As of August 2012, in Arenas de Bavaro we have sold 25 of 42 units and in Corte Sea we have already sold 12 of 22 units sold so far. Two of those units were resold prior to the completion of the construction and delivery. That is a total of 14 sales in Corte Sea. If you are looking for the Corte Sea and Arenas de Bavaro experts, then you have found them. See the testimonials below from the owners that have already closed and moved into their units.
Last but not least, I want to thank Don Luis Ulises, Eridania, Edgar, Isabel, David and Johanna for their hard work and dedication and for always working with me and my team to ensure happy clients. I consider the Montas Family to be my Family in the Dominican Republic and look forward to many more years to come.
Thank you for making my dreams of life in the Caribbean come true!

Testimonials – Corte Sea Property Owners
When you buy a property in a foreign country, you need to rely on your realtor to make sure that you make the right investment. Let me say that we had a wonderful experience working with Ellen and Scott from Punta Cana Real Estate.
It was our first experience buying anywhere outside Canada and Ellen was able to be patient, knowledgeable and reliable; working around our specific demands as we were in search of our first paradise investment. Scott went way far beyond our expectations in providing us with his assistance in setting up bank accounts, temporary storage, and so much more. We couldn’t be more happier with the condo that we found and the friends that we made!
Ellen and Scott are way more than realtors but are part of our very special family in Punta Cana.
Thank you so much for making our dream come true.

We find it hard to believe that what began as a dream a few years ago has become a reality! It all began as a news paper article which we saw in Puerto Rico talking about La Costa Destination and the benefits of investing in real estate in Punta Cana. We had visited Punta Cana before but it was not until we contacted you and La Costa Destination that we fell in love with Punta Cana especially with its beautiful beaches and its warm people.
When we decided to look at the properties we were pleasantly surprised at the quality of the construction and the attention to details. We appreciated the courteous treatment and the patience with which we were shown around. A short walk to the beach and a look at the turquoise waters and white sand completed a perfect picture. Needless to say that before leaving Punta Cana we optioned an apartment in Corte Sea based mostly in the blueprints as construction had not yet began. We also noted that what we were originally offered was improved on significantly as you did not settled for something that was already good and, drawing from the experience of previous developments made ours better.
We must admit that, initially, we had some doubts about investing in a foreign country as we were not familiar with the laws and procedures. In this area you were more than helpful taking us through the whole process and placing us in contact with very competent professionals like attorneys, bankers and others. We appreciate your professionalism which is second to none.
Not being there we have relied on you to take care of all the details of making the apartment ready from keeping us informed, through e-mails and pictures, of the construction progress to furnishing and decorating it, connecting the utilities, etc. You guys leave nothing to chance!
Having an apartment as an investment and at the same time as a second home is the best of two worlds. Although in the last couple of years the apartment has not appreciated in value we have noted that is maintained its value unlike properties here in Puerto Rico (and in most places in the United States!) where property prices have plummeted.
We plan to spend more and more time in Punta Cana in the not too distant future and are seriously considering acquiring another property there. Needles to say we would count on you, Scott, to help us in this endeavor.

My spouse and I knew for quite some time that we were interested in purchasing some property in the DR but we really didn’t know where to begin. Here in Canada we have a real estate agent who we know and trust and it was this same type of relationship we hoped to find as we started looking in the DR. We got lucky because we ended up arranging our search and eventual purchase of property through La Costa Destinations in Punta Cana. Scott Medina and Ellen van den Beld of La CostaDestinations not only walked us through the entire process of purchasing international property but they willingly and enthusiastically shared so much information around questions we might not have thought to ask.
Whenever we had a question, no matter how big or how small, we always received a same day response which aided greatly in our planning process. This ongoing support continued long after the deal closed whereby Scott and Ellen ensured we had necessary transportation to help take care of the errands required when moving into a new home. We never had to ask…they offered. Combine this with the fact that they often acted as our translator as we adjusted to a new language and it’s safe to say we were in good hands.
My spouse and I are no strangers to buying real estate. We have a fairly good understanding of the various procedures involved. However in our opinion what truly makes a real estate transaction successful is when we work with people who are knowledgeable, friendly, supportive and approachable. These are areas where Scott and Ellen surpassed our expectations. We love our beautiful home in the DR and we value the new relationships we have forged with the folks at La Costa Destinations.

Dear Scott & Ellen:
We are writing you this to let you know how extremely thrilled we are with the purchase we made with you. As you know we bought one of the condos in Corte Sea from you in Bavaro. We were there to see the final product and cannot believe how unequivocally stunning and exquisite it is. The saying of “Pictures do not do it justice” is so right.
We bought from you in May of this year. At that time we met with you and were impressed with the time you took with us. Never once did you hurry or pressure us. It was as if you knew the mental stress we were enduring already having to make this type of decision and you respected and encouraged us to do what we felt in our hearts would be best for us personally. You listened to everything we were looking for and really took the time to get to know us as individuals but most importantly you got to know us as a family. You were interested in everything we said we wanted and needed. When we got there and saw the final product-WOW! Every feature was exactly as we had asked for. Every detail from paint to furniture to personal touches where there. It was as if we had personally been there and decorated our condo ourselves. It was beyond what we really could have anticipated.
We want to thank you and feel that words alone could not truly express what we are feeling and for this reason we thought to write you instead. Thank you for your professionalism. Thank you for your dedication. Thank you for all your hard work. Thank you for listening to us and working for us like you were working and doing it for yourselves. Basically that is how we feel. The pride and hard work you put into this was if the condo was bought and decorated for you or a member of your family for that we will forever feel eternally grateful.
Thanks to you we so look forward to spending so much time down at our new “HOME” in Corte Sea.

We saw Scott on House Hunters International and contacted him to find out more about properties in Punta Cana. Scott was very informative and responsive to our many questions and so we quickly booked a trip down to Punta Cana.
Scott arranged for us to see all the properties he thought we may be interested in and after deciding to buy in Corte Sea he helped us to meet with the builder, the lawyer and a decorator – all within a few days.
We are looking forward to closing this spring and enjoying our new place in the sun!
Thanks for all your help so far Scott – we wouldn’t hesitate to refer you to our friends as we already have.

My husband and I became interested in Punta Cana when we saw the episode on House Hunters International where Scott was featured purchasing his condo. Soon thereafter I found Scott’s website with all of the information about owning property in the DR. From time to time I would check the website to see the various properties that were available and we decided to make a trip to see what the area was like.
We rented a condo through Scott for our trip and also made arrangements to look at property while we were there. We found Scott to be very knowledgeable about the area and very well connected with the people in the area – the developers, lawyers, shop owners. He told us what we would have to do to purchase, own and even rent out our property should we decide to move forward with owning property in the DR. He has been there to guide us every step of the way and has even given us contacts in the area that he trusts and works with. This has set our mind at ease and has made the process of purchasing a lot easier than anticipated. We are currently working with Scott and are in the process of realizing our Caribbean dream. The Caribbean is indeed calling us and we look forward to our continued business relationship with Scott!!
